Position: National Advertising Development Manager
(Location - Toronto)

The National Advertising Development Manager will market and sell advertising & related products to Fortune 1000 type companies in the U.S.

·         The ideal candidate will utilize their contacts and abilities to contact potential advertisers and partners to sell National Level deals.

·         Your knowledge of the Internet and advertising will enable you to market these services to agencies and clients direct alike.

·         Positioning 1010City.com, and its products and services will be your main objective. This will be done by phone calls, direct meetings and presentations, letters, media kits & direct mail initiatives.

·         You will also be responsible for maintaining an up to date database of clients and prospects in Microsoft Outlook, as well as the company database.

·         You also be responsible for weekly Call & Status reports, detailing all activities for the week.

·         You will be given an annual budget and be expected to meet and exceed your quota. Interaction with superiors will be encouraged.

·         This position reports to the VP of Ad Sales.

Skills/Experience Required

·         A minimum of 5 years experience in National Level Advertising Sales is required.

·         Ability to coordinate multiple projects from start to finish, and strong prospecting and closing skills are a must.

·         Strong initiative and ability to work both independently and within a team environment is strongly encouraged.

BA/BS degree, or related experience is required.

Account Executive, National and Corporate Sales
(Location – Toronto, ON)

In this position you will be responsible for marketing 1010City.com and My Webmaster Internet related products and services to Fortune 1000 corporate accounts on a nationwide basis.

Responsibilities

·         Managing sales cycles, selling business solutions, and building a solid pipeline of qualified prospects is required.

·         Account relationship building, customer satisfaction, and product implementation success are key responsibilities.

Skills/Experience Required

·         BS/BA in an area that demonstrates technical and/or business aptitude with 5 to 7 years of sales experience selling to the Fortune 1000 at the corporate level in the software systems and services area is required

·         Consistent sales performance in meeting and exceeding assigned quotas is required.

·         Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills.

As a 1010City Information Guide you will be responsible for keeping your community informed of what is happening in your area.  You will be building networks with key players in your community such as members of your local government, news organizations, schools, etc.  Your daily tasks may consist of;

-         Writing and posting local content on the portal you would be managing

-         Review restaurants, events and, venues in your local area

-         Research and post local Internet sites that relate to your internet portal

-         Research and post events on community calendars

-         Posting pictures on your site (news, events, etc.)

-         Answering local message board requests

-         Answering local E-Mail Questions

-         Interact with the 1010City team and other Information Guides in order to network ideas that will maintain and improve the quality of your site and theirs

 

What Qualifications Do I need To become A 1010City Information Guide?

 

If you have a strong belief in the strength and importance of your community and, you are self-motivated with a will to succeed, then you are already qualified to become a 1010City Information Guide.  Computer knowledge is an asset, but full training will be provided to all Information Guides. Language and writing skills are also important.

 

 

What Equipment Do I Need To Become A 1010City Information Guide?

 

You will require a personal computer and a digital camera to perform you duties properly.  You may use your own equipment, or one provided to you by 1010City. 

The 1010City team will help you build your local site by directing you in how to acquire local content.  The 1010City sales force in your portal area will bring the customers to your site.

 

Where Will I Be Located As a 1010City Information Guide?

 

1010City wishes to have Information Guides in every local community across Canada.

 

 

What Is The Compensation and Benefits for Being A 1010City Information Guide?

 

        You will not be a salesperson.  All of the selling in your area will be done by a team of 1010City sales professionals.

-           You will be paid $5.00 per month for each 1010City customer in your portal (1,000 customers = $5,000.00)

-           You will become an information icon in your portal area

-           You will automatically be invited to the local restaurants and special events

-           You will receive a cash allowance for gas and or car expenses of $150.00 per month until there is a total of 200 customers in your portal site.

-           Your contact information will appear on every home page in your portal area (picture, phone number, etc.)

-           You will be working with the latest computer equipment
